Wild West Galleries
Cowboys and Indians is a very generic title for this grouping. Wranglers don't like to be called cowboys or cowgirls. After all, wranglers work with horses, while cowboys herd cows! And, of course "Indians" might be more properly titled "Native Americans". The horses in this section are domestic horses, some of which are used as trail horses for the area dude ranches like Triangle X Ranch, Moosehead Ranch and Lost Creek Ranch. Wild mustangs are in their own collection.

47 imagesArtistic photography and fine art images of Native American Indians in northwest Wyoming. Images include traditional dancers, chiefs, and warriors from the regional tribes dressed in their spectacular regalia and costumes.
128 imagesArtistic photography and fine art images of the modern day mountain men at area rendezvous and camps. Historic rendezvous sites include Camp Henry, Ft. Bridger, Jackson Hole, Pinedale, and Bear River. After attending rendezvous events for several years, they've given me the camp name "Shadow Catcher". That's quite an honor knowing Native Americans gave the same name to Edwin S. Curtis back in the day. Check out my book "Rendezvous" by clicking the Current Books tab.
